Hero Out of Time

Hey all! Sorry for the extended absence, had a second con to go to and a second vacation. This piece was actually supposed to go up before I left, but it died in the render farm several times and I couldn’t get it done.

It never finished, in fact. This one may look a little different than most of my works; this was rendered on my graphics cards instead of my CPU. It’s less precise and the texture filtering isn’t as good as I’d like, but my rendering box just kept choking on it, so I figured this was the next best solution.

Here we have a re-imagining of the end of Twilight Princess, where, though victorious, our Hero has sustained a mortal wound. The Kingdom is safe, but as we all know that doesn’t mean the end is all good…

This was partially inspired by the end of Gladiator, so if you feel like just destroying your eyes with uncontrollable tear flow, feel free to listen to We Are Free while you look at this.
